Teaching Approach and Intention

My yoga classes and workshops are based on the teachings of Donna Farhi and Vanda Scaravelli and foster deep yoga practice, supportive of your individual needs. Exploration and individual inquiry, based on conscious, attentive grounding and breath awareness, is coupled with creative movement and balanced with moments of stillness.

These ingredients lead you ever more deeply into your own moment to moment yoga journey--your own individual experience of the practice. Awaken with Yoga classes and workshops offer an oasis for those seeking a more internal and meditative approach to Yoga.

Because the essence of Yoga is connection and union with higher levels of spirituality and awareness, my intention is to inspire you to turn inward and reconnect with the deep wells of wisdom and creativity that lie within. To travel this path with a "vehicle" that is rigid and overworked, whether body, mind, or both, is to limit yourself and in essence, prevent the attainment of your goals. I invite you to join me on the journey in North Dallas, Richardson, and Plano, Texas.

About Yoga Classes:

Yoga, Beginning: recommended for the first year of yoga practice for the average student.

Yoga, All Levels: beginner and experienced students together.

Yoga, Intermediate: recommended for those with appropriate prior yoga experience (equivalent of one year); includes asanas, pranayama, philosophy, and meditation for experienced students.

Gentle Yoga: yoga postures and relaxation to help heal back, neck and shoulder pain and for those
who prefer or need a more gentle approach to yoga practice, including those with physical limitations.

Private Yoga Lessons, Bodywork, or Spiritual Healing Sessions
